Whorticulture.com Presents: What You Should Be Buying
Last night we got this tweet sent to us:
"How does Showgirls look on Blu-ray? Please review it even if it isn't a 'horror' film! It counts as a whore film!"
Showgirls is one of our top 5 favorite movies. The 15th Anniversary Sinsational Edition on Blu ray is outstanding. Not only are the visuals stunning, the pumping audio is amazing! Even the menu is gorgeous.
It also comes with great features, like trivia (which we rocked, thanks) and a Showgirls Diary, which is a behind-the-scenes look at filming and was surprisingly interesting.
We would say the features pale in comparison to the box set released almost a decade ago (the one that came with tassels for "pin the tassels on the showgirl" and the shot glasses for the drinking game), but this one is worth it for how freaking gorgeous the picture is. You'll undoubtedly see things you've never noticed.
Developed a major girl crush on Gina Gerahon after watching it. Her character totally made the movie.

ReplyDeleteHer ass kicking at the end, getting revenge is sweet. She loves her best friend and wouldn't sell her or her friends soul, or anything to make herself happy.
Amazing cast, the settings, colors and everything was AH-MAZE-ING d: The people in IMDb, know nothing about good films.
